As a mental health professional, I have spent the last 14 years working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families to combat the effects of stress, trauma, abuse, neglect, violence, bullying, substance misuse, mental illness, and more. Through my work as a psychotherapist, I have come to value a holistic, proactive approach to mental health and well-being. So often, we wait until “the damage has been done” to seek help versus proactively developing the skills and resources needed to conquer the difficulties of life.

As a person and a professional, I’m obsessed with personal growth. I’m also completely fascinated with psychology, lifespan development, and the human mind. I believe I was put on this earth to be the best human I can be, and to help others do the same. My mission in life is to change the culture of mental health by inspiring others to make emotional health and wellness and healthy relationships a priority.

So what is it that I do? Well, I happen to be a mental health professional, which includes roles of therapist, coach, supervisor, and consultant. But that doesn’t truly explain what I do, so here it is:

I HELP INDIVIDUALS OF ALL AGES CONNECT WITH THEMSELVES.

That’s it, in a nutshell. So what’s the point of ‘connecting’ with oneself? I believe a healthy relationship with the self is key to well-being, happiness, and success in life. From this foundation, individuals experience improvement and increased satisfaction in all areas of life, including but not limited to: emotional well-being, relationships, career, health and wellness, leisure, spirituality and purpose, and overall happiness and contentment in life. My approach is focused on increasing emotional intelligence and resilience, fostering healthy coping strategies and communication skills, enriching relationships, and adopting healthy life habits.

In addition to my experience as a mental health professional, I have a background in research, program development, program management, and coaching youth athletics. All of these experiences have contributed to my ability to connect with and guide individuals in positive, growth-producing ways. Whether you are seeking psychotherapy, personal coaching, clinical supervision, mental health consultation for your organization, or self-help material, YOU are the expert in your own life. We will work together as a team to create a foundation for sustainable wellness.
