Hello! I'm Blake and it's lovely to see you here. Finding the right therapist can sometimes be the most challenging part of therapy. As a therapist, being able to make this process as easy as possible for you is extremely important to me. Below is a little bit about who I am so you can make an informed decision in choosing the right therapist for you.

I believe therapy is only effective if there is a strong relationship between the client and the therapist. When the relationship is strong it creates a space that fosters trust and comfortability that opens the door for true vulnerability. As a therapist, I must be empathetic, curious, respectful, and at times direct with my clients. I incorporate various therapeutic techniques with my clients including, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness.

As a therapist, I have primarily worked with clients healing from trauma. I have experience working with PTSD, C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, suicidality, relationship issues, and career and educational counseling. Before coming to the Center for Resilience Strategies I worked with various types of front-line workers, from healthcare professionals, first responders, veterans, active-duty military personnel, and individuals associated with these communities.

Before becoming a therapist I was enlisted in the United States Navy. After discovering that a career in the Navy was not the right fit for me I decided to move back home to Colorado. Upon returning home, I attended the University of Denver where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Biology and Criminology and a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience. I then attended Regis University where I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

As a Colorado native in my free time, you can find me outdoors, connecting with nature, enjoying the different seasons, cooking, spending time with loved ones, and hanging out with my dog. I look forward to starting this therapeutic journey with you.
