You Might Be a Good Candidate If:

You feel stuck after trying traditional treatments with limited success
KAP can be helpful for people who haven’t found enough relief from antidepressants, talk therapy, or other conventional approaches. It’s often explored when symptoms persist despite trying multiple treatment options.

You’re struggling with certain mental health conditions.
Research and clinical experience show that KAP can be effective for:

  • Depression (especially treatment-resistant depression)
  • Anxiety disorders
  • PTSD or trauma-related symptoms
  • Adjustment difficulties and existential distress

You’re open to a therapy-centered approach.
At its core, KAP isn’t just about the medicine—it’s about the therapy that surrounds and integrates the ketamine experience. People who are open to introspection, emotional processing, and personal growth tend to benefit most.

You’re medically and psychologically stable enough for the experience.
Before starting KAP, you’ll typically complete a medical and psychological screening. Factors such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, active psychosis, or substance dependence may make ketamine unsafe or less effective.

You’re ready to engage in integration work.
KAP sessions can bring up deep emotions or insights. The therapeutic integration afterward is where real, lasting change happens—so commitment to ongoing therapy is key.

You Might Need to Wait or Explore Alternatives If:

  • You’re currently in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts that require more immediate stabilization
  • You have previously experienced or are actively experiencing mania or psychosis
  • You have unmanaged medical issues that could interfere with treatment
  • You are not able to commit the time necessary for proper integration
