Hi there, I'm Aaron. I approach therapy with warmth, lightness, and above all else, a deep curiosity! Good questions are powerful. They can create a space for you to be fully seen, uncover a new strength in you or your relationship(s), and create openings so that what matters most has room to take root. Life can be challenging, (like, really challenging) and sometimes overwhelmingly so. The things we face might tell you that you aren't up to the task, or even lead you into thinking you aren't worthy… But they’re wrong. The life you want is yours to create, embrace, and enter into. And a good question can remind you that you don’t have to do it alone.

I work with families struggling to understand one another, couples hoping to get past seemingly impossible conflicts, and individuals trapped by inflexible stories.

When did anxiety, depression, or addiction start feeling like an identity? When did the conflicts with your partner(s—poly & queer relationships welcome!) start feeling like incompatibility? When did your teen’s struggles at school start dictating how people see them? These shifts can really create a sense of misery, but recognizing them as shifts is to understand that they can shift again. You’re not the problem. Your partner(s) or family member(s) is not the problem. The story might be.

Having been told I don't fit in many times in my life, I won’t prescribe stories about who you should be or what your romantic or familial relationships should look like. Your values, your culture, your ideas guide us--I help clear the way. I’ve wandered,  philosophy > mathematics > software engineering, and wandered, Philadelphia > Pittsburgh > UK, and now finally I’ve fully arrived here in Denver with a commitment to therapy. Outside the therapy room, you'll find me finding new beta for 5’3" climbers on the wall, mixing obscure electronic music, or diving headfirst into counseling research articles. Curiosity has sometimes made me the black sheep, but it now drives my commitment to giving others what I’ve needed most: the knowledge that there are always more options than the stories we've been handed.
