Almaz WilsonProfessional Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapist Intern
Location: South Lakewood, COAppointment Types: In-Person • Telehealth - Colorado

Expressive Arts Therapy uses visual art, music, sound, movement, dance, drama, and writing.. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist to benefit from this process. Sessions include creative modalities as tools for self-expression, transformation, exploration, self-awareness, and connection.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, emotionally focused, and trauma-informed. Together, we will explore your lived experience within a broader social context, honoring both your personal and historical narratives. I am especially attuned to supporting people and groups who want to integrate their inner and outer worlds in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.
About me: I hold a bachelor's degree in Biological Anthropology and a master’s degree in Fine Arts. I've spent many years teaching and showing art in different settings. Outside of work, you can find me enjoying the elements of nature, a good book/film, making art, yoga, and meditation.
