Hello! My name is Ashley and I am thrilled that you are here. I understand that starting therapy and finding the right therapist can be an intimidating process. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and who I am as a therapist.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and thus my approach is one of honesty and transparency. I will meet you with respect, kindness, and empathy, while also speaking openly and straightforwardly about our work together. My primary therapeutic orientation is psychodynamic, which means that we will explore and examine the influences from your past that are impacting present-day relationships and behaviors. I also incorporate techniques from a variety of modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness approaches, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Play Therapy.

I am passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that often keep us stuck and unable to make positive and lasting changes. I believe you are the expert on your own life and that I am merely a facilitator of healing and change. The path we will walk together to achieve your life goals may be difficult at times, but I am committed to providing understanding and guidance along the way.

Before this, I spent over a decade as an early childhood educator. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies from Colorado State University, a Master of Education in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University in Denver.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, lifting weights, camping, snowboarding, and spending time with my family, friends, and furry animals.

I look forward to meeting you and beginning our work together!
