Hey there, my name is Daniel. My role as a therapist is something akin to that of a guide, and I believe each of us has the strength and fortitude to walk the path back to the truth of our own heart. Sometimes we may not feel like we can do it, sometimes we may feel like we don’t deserve it, but the fact remains, it is our birthright as human beings to listen to that voice resonating from deep within our being. The greatest gift we can give ourselves is to align our actions and mindsets with that voice, and I would be honored to be there with you as you learn to open yourself up to what it has to say for you and your life.
I work with folks who have experienced trauma, are struggling with substance use issues and/or compulsivity in relation to eating, exercising, internet use, sexual behavior, or any other “process” addiction, creative folks struggling with their art, as well as with men’s issues in general.
Trust, equanimity, a sense of worth, and self-love — these are the goals I enjoy working towards. I strive to create an environment where you feel seen, validated, inspired, and perhaps challenged every once in a while. I am interested in attachment theories and internal family systems. I take a strengths-based approach, embody an existentialist foundation, and I am a Racial Justice and LGBTQIA+ ally.
Boston > Sante Fe > Denver, with some diversions along the way. Fifteen years of experience in the helping professions. I’m into healing my mind and body by way of yoga, meditation, biking around town, walking the quieter mountain paths, reading fiction and philosophy, and drinking tea over coffee. If any of this speaks to you, please feel free to reach out and set up a time to meet.
