In our busy modern lives, we can be stretched thin trying to attend to various responsibilities while being given little time to attend to ourselves and our relationships. This can lead to getting stuck in ruts, feeling overwhelmed or frustrated, and trying to find a quick fix or the “right” solution to our problems. But these quick fixes or proposed solutions don't give us a greater sense of understanding ourselves or our loved ones, or provide us with time to reflect on our experience, emotions, or stories. In working with me, you will be allowed to slow down and breathe, allow yourself to understand your experience and emotions as well as those of your loved ones, and create unique solutions that work for you in your life. I use a collaborative, integrated approach of emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and narrative therapy (NT) to help contextualize your past experience and inform the present. I use this information to understand how you want to work towards your future goals. You're in the driver's seat in your mental health journey, and I’d be honored to take part in navigating your journey with you.
I have experience working with various age groups, including young children, adolescents, and adults. I've worked with individuals, couples, and families navigating mental health struggles and relationship issues. I love educating all ages on how the brain impacts our feelings and decisions while using art, music, and play to make sense of one's experience in more human terms. If what I’ve presented resonates with you and you want to make a positive change in your life or relationships, I’d love to connect with you!
In my free time, I love engaging with art, music, and media in various ways, such as concerts, museums, movie theatres, etc. Otherwise, I enjoy longboarding, playing volleyball, reading, or playing board games! I look forward to finding what gives you life as well.
